About the event
The art and skill of pulse diagnosis, being able to palpate the pulse, understand and define what is being felt and then translating it into a treatment plan is the ultimate achievement of practitioner of the traditional medical paradigms. Palpation of the pulse, historically and till today remains the most effective method of gleaning information from within the body to determine the root cause of illness and even elucidate hidden information that is necessary to make a successful diagnosis.
Becoming proficient in this art takes years of practice and learning under the supervision of someone who has mastered the art AND is able to effectively pass on this knowledge. Dr Latib has been teaching pulse diagnosis for more than 20 years now and as his students know very well, he has a unique and effective method of transferring the skills and knowledge in the field. The apprentice method of learning pulse diagnosis is nowadays not possible, but the next best thing is to attend these workshops run by Dr Latib to begin and refresh your journey to reaching proficiency.
While Dr Latib has been running pulse workshops for many years, this time he will be using a new approach which will first go through the foundation knowledge and then focus on the patients complaint, going from case study to pulse palpation to diagnosis and treatment. This way is closer to the master-apprentice relationship and students will be able to learn to integrate the knowledge immediately into clinically actionable treatment plans. This workshop is the first level in 8 levels of pulse diagnosis, each of which can be used on its own, but increasing in complexity, and the ability to gain more and more information from the pulse reading.
Students and practitioners of traditional medical systems are invited to attend the workshop where they will get to learn first hand directly from Dr Latib and be able to ask many questions from various different areas of the field.
